A Shift for the Prayer House
24 hour prayer almost didn't happen this semester. 5 years of prayer almost came to a hault due to logistic issues and scheduling conflicts. Yet in the midst of confusion and a seemingly dead end, the Lord not only provided another way out, but a better way.
For the past five years, the Prayer House has been housed in Danforth Chapel. It was the most obvious location for our seasons of prayer. During the day, the Prayer House would relocate to the grassy null beside the Chapel to accommodate other club meetings. This semester, for the first time in Prayer House history, Danforth Chapel and the grassy null were both unavailable. So what did we do? We prayed.
After praying and seeking the Lord, the vision of having the Prayer House reside on one location without having to relocate came up. What if there was one spot on the campus where the Prayer House could set up without having to tear down and relocate everyday? As the Lord would have it, there is such a location. And it happens to be one of the busiest intersections on campus. Tyler Mall and Palm Walk.
After five years of having to move the Prayer House everyday, packing up prayer stations and praying in Danforth Chapel- the Prayer House is moving out. It's a big shift for the Prayer House, but it's a shift we believe the Lord orchestrated for His glory. Thousands upon thousands of students will now be walking by the Prayer House each day. Prayer stations will be permanent and more creative than ever. The busiest intersection on campus will now be the center for prayer at ASU.

I'm sorry, I've been trying
I'm sorry, I've been trying to contact you guys (I sent a reply message through when texted, but I didn't get a response) -- while I'm very glad that the prayer tent has a more permanent home now, :), its location means I no longer will be able to make my weekly commitment (4-5pm, Tuesdays) because I have limited mobility due to disability. (Danforth was a bit of a stretch for me, but doable, from where I park.) I just want to make sure that the person overseeing scheduling knows, and I'm not sure if there is another way to contact y'all.
All the best & prayers for your work,
Katy
